The Thought
Our family traveled to Kiawah this summer for a week at the beach. This was the first time we ever went to the ocean in July. We have always gone in the Spring or Fall. The girls were thrilled to be in the water when it was warm.
The week before we left, however, the internet was inundated with rip current warnings. The consensus was that the ocean was changing, and rip currents were in full force this summer. Needless to say, several horror stories decorated the articles.

It struck deep. How I longed to think only the thoughts God wanted me to think, not thoughts of worry and fear. Let no thoughts enter my mind that are not Your thoughts.
I realized laying there the power in that simple prayer. His peace invaded my thoughts, and I found myself whispering help that only His thoughts would enter my mind.
