Good morning, friends. Today is the last day to sign up for the early registration price for our online course: Poetry of Place.
Over and over again, Tim and I keep coming back to this simple yet profound truth: life begins at home. It is where we dream our dreams together, school our pixies, create beauty, write our thoughts, nourish our bodies. The home is the hub of all of our life together.
There is a brilliance in the everyday occurrences within our home: the laughter of children heard up the stairs, the remnants of pancake batter dripping at the kitchen sink, the shift of the moon on the horizon, the paint left to dry on the easel.
This is the poetry of home. A wonder unfolds as we pay attention to all these things.
In the most ordinary of places the extraordinary emerges.
I am so honored to be a guest teacher along with these amazing people: Daune Pitman, Jeanne Oliver, Lissa Whitlock, and Tim Willard.
Tim and I spent a lot of time thinking about what we wanted to share with you in our segment. We will walk you through some rooms in our house with the hopes that we can inspire you on your own journey as you artfully cultivate a creative home of beauty.
No matter where you call home —your travel trailer, rented apartment, old fixer-upper—my prayer is that this course will inspire you to create beauty in your poetry of place.
Beauty matters.
Our homes matter.
They are sacred space.
