Hello Friends,
I pray your Tuesday is starting out full of beauty. That the light streaming through your kitchen window reminds you to reach for the true Source behind it. That the sound of the wind blowing through the trees spurs you to keep reaching for more.
Soren Kierkegaard once said,
"The highest and most beautiful things in life are not to be heard about, nor read about, nor seen but, if one will, are to be lived."
Let’s live the beauty.
We have the gift of living out this beauty every day of our lives. A blank page. Your life is a canvas, dear friend.
Each day we live we are creating a canvas of art. It's messy. It's beautiful. It's inspiring. It is up to us to determine what we will create. Will it be a piece of art?
Have you wanted to live a creative life, but have not known where to start? Do you recognize your life is a canvas, but are afraid to make the first stroke?
We are doing a live workshop in Greenville, NC this summer.
Join me, Tim, and Daune Pitman for a two-day art workshop where we will explore loose landscapes, mixed media collage book-making, and creative journaling. Cyanotypes, mono prints, stitching, dying, vintage papers, and foraged elements will be used to create a unique mixed media journal.
You will be immersed in delight in this workshop whether you are an accomplished artist or a total beginner.
We will explore techniques in creating loose landscapes on paper and canvas; and will explore creative journaling. You will leave the workshop with your own completed loose landscapes and handmade journal, along with a love of journaling in a new way.
The workshops @cottageintheoaks and the studio are limited….so there are only a few spots available.
I would absolutely love to have you join us as we gather, learn, and dream. Our hope is that you will leave inspired to step into, grow, and delight in your creativity.
If this sounds like something you would be interested in, we’d love to see you there. And you can sign up on the link below.
A new day awaits. A day with blank space waiting to be filled with the art of our life. All the little moments of our day, combine to make a beautiful picture.
As you go through this Tuesday, remember that your days can combine together to create a masterpiece. The canvas of your life. This is the art of living, one day at a time.
Even though I will not able able to attend this very intriguing workshop, but may it be well-attended and prosper in every way!
The workshop sounds decidedly! I am a bit far away though. 😉 Plus, I have journaled for decades with whimsical and some times wild results! I am thrilled you will be inspiring folks with this opportunity!
